The Eco Earth Hobbit House in Waikato, New Zealand

It’s no surprise that this Eco Cave House has been built in New Zealand. The chap who built this house set off from England when he was 17 and travelled overland to New Zealand (well as overland as much as he could). He took inspiration from cave dwellers in Iran and the highlands of Afghanistan and began slowly renovating and improving a swamp ridden marsh ground in the Waikato region of New Zealand. He began the project in 1972 and has just finished…watch this video to learn more.
